The president and founder of Brett King Builder-Contractor, Inc. is Brett King. Having a wealth of natural God-given abilities, Brett felt lead to begin his remodeling business in 1982. Acquiring repeated local and national recognition, Brett’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, integrity, and exceeding customer’s expectations continues to drive the company. Brett’s business passion is taking people’s problems away while working out in the field he loves. Being Brett’s original goal to remain a small, personable, service-oriented company, catering to his clients needs has stayed the same to this day. He is very active in his church (Living Hope Community Church) where he serves as an elder. Brett also enjoys golf and spending time with his family. His newest hobby is taking rides with his wife Kim on their tandem bike. They reside in a home they designed and built outside of Quakertown where they happily celebrate 30 years of married life. Their two grown children are Nathan, married, and Heather, a student at Philadelphia Biblical University.

Kim, Brett’s wife, has been his support from the start of the business. Prior to children, Kim was a teacher by day and the growing company’s bookkeeper/interior designer by night. Years into home schooling their own children, she handed over her office duties to outside help. Now with the children gone, she is able to return to her original design background and more fully join Brett and the team assisting clients through the remodeling process. She enjoys sewing, cooking, spending time with her family and being Brett’s “back seat driver” on their tandem bike.

In 1984 Brett employed the first member of the BKB team, Dave Detweiler. Dave began working for Brett on a part time basis during his apprenticeship with Upper Bucks Technical School. Upon graduating in 1985, Dave received the highest honor within his carpentry class and joined our company full-time. Dave has been a tremendous asset to the business ever since, providing our team with numerous valuable skills. Dave enjoys spending time with his wife Amy in gardening, taking walks and vacationing together. Having servant hearts, they often entertain guests from their home in Blooming Glen.

In search of a lead carpenter Rick Seifert was hand selected to join the BKB team in February 2005. Continuing his passion for carpentry, Rick quickly proved himself to be an exceptionally gifted and talented craftsman. Rick enjoys the challenges and many rewards that come with each project. During his free time, Rick is often found taking walks with his three little girls. Rick, his wife Rachel and their three daughters, Page, Kailey, and Brooke reside in Quakertown.

The pleasant and cheery voice that greets you by phone is the voice of Diana Miller, our highly capable office manager. Diana, who joined our team in the late summer of 2006 brings with her multiple office and communication skills and abilities. Outside our office, she likes to read, knit, go to the beach and spend time with her family. Diana, and her husband Eugene, live in Dublin with their two girls, Lauren and Briana.

The newest member of the Brett King Builder-Contractor, Inc. team is one who was found holding his blue plastic hammer by Brett’s side from the moment he could walk. Nathan, who has helped in the family business since his childhood, graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. Being highly multi-talented, he brings with him, not only his inherited carpentry abilities, but a whole new computer savvy skill set for the next generation of remodelers. Like his father, Nathan enjoys golf and just about any other sport. He and his bride Katie, reside in Doylestown.
